Measuring device: Balance type calorimeter (equilibrium chamber type calorimetry measuring device)
Bringing heat leakage from the test chamber close to "zero" - the ability measurement is extremely accurate.
The balance type calorimeter (equilibrium chamber calorimeter) can achieve extremely accurate capacity measurements by minimizing heat leakage from the test chamber to near "zero." By keeping the test conditions at standard conditions (constant), this measurement method is ideal when highly accurate capacity measurements are required. This type features an additional temperature-controlled chamber (outer chamber) outside both the indoor and outdoor test chambers, creating a double structure that maintains thermal equilibrium between the indoor and outdoor test chambers and eliminates temperature differences during capacity measurements. The capacity measurement method for the specimen (room air conditioner) on the indoor side is conducted using a direct method, measuring the cooling and dehumidifying capacity for cooling, and the heating capacity for heating, balancing it with the thermal capacity of the measuring device to measure the thermal input. The same method is used for the outdoor side to measure the thermal input during cooling and heating, and it is stipulated that the calculated values based on the outdoor measurements must match the indoor measurements within 4% (JIS).
